Quality Manager, Wind Projects
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
You will be joining a leading global renewable energy technology company with a strong presence in the wind sector, supporting the delivery of large-scale wind energy projects across Brazil. You will take on a functional leadership role within a project-driven environment, overseeing quality across the design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, installation, and commissioning of wind turbine generators. This is a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, while acting as the primary point of contact for customer-facing quality matters.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Leading and coordinate all quality-related activities to support the safe delivery, installation, and commissioning of wind turbines in line with contractual and project requirements.
- Act as the focal point for customer quality management, including escalation and resolution of quality issues.
- Drive and embed a zero-defect quality culture across project teams, partners, and suppliers.
- Ensure all quality activities fully comply with contracts, Project Quality Plans, internal policies, and applicable regulations.
- Manage quality-related relationships with clients, consortium partners, and subcontractors.
- Chair and participate in quality and project meetings, including preparation of documentation, minutes, and formal reporting.
- Coordinate and prepare weekly and monthly quality reports for internal leadership.
- Facilitate escalation of project issues and work closely with internal stakeholders to remove delivery roadblocks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, including running workshops and capability-building initiatives.
- Manage non-conformances, including root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive action plans, and supplier follow-up.
Experiences Needed to Be Successful
- A degree or qualification in a relevant technical field
- At least 10 years’ experience as a Quality Manager on major infrastructure or energy projects
- Mandatory experience in the wind industry
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Solid knowledge of quality systems, tools, and methodologies
- High IT proficiency (MS Office, SharePoint)
- Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal
