Resident Engineer - C&S

Educational Qualification: ? Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.

? Graduate Engineer with BEM. 

Length and Types of Working 

Experience Required: 

? Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in civil and 

structural engineering works. 

? At least 3–5 years of site supervision experience as a Resident 

Engineer on large-scale industrial, mission-critical, or data center 

projects. 

? Proven experience in supervising earthworks, foundations, 

reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, infrastructure 

works, and utility coordination. 

? Familiarity with local authority requirements, construction quality 

control, testing and commissioning, and health & safety 

regulations. 

? Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, 

and relevant stakeholders throughout project execution. 

? Knowledge of data center construction standards and missioncritical facility requirements is an added advantage.

System or software knowledge ? Familiar with Microsoft Office – particularly, word, excel and 

power point.

2. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

State the accountability and responsibilities

Site Operations & Management

? Lead and oversee site supervision of civil and structural works, ensuring execution follows 

approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. 

? Direct and coordinate site activities including earthworks, foundations, and structural works to 

ensure proper sequencing and productivity. 

Quality Control, Reporting & Compliance.

? Ensure strict compliance of all civil and structural works with contract requirements, approved 

design, and QA/QC procedures. 

? Review and endorse inspection records, test results, and site reports prepared by the supervision 

team. 

? Monitor quality performance on site and ensure timely closure of non-conformances.. 

Coordination & Communication 

? Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, MEP teams, and utility stakeholders on civil 

and structural interfaces. 

? Lead site coordination meetings and resolve technical and construction issues in a timely manner. 

Planning & Progress Monitoring 

? Oversee construction sequencing and ensure works align with project schedule and milestones. 

? Monitor progress against baseline programme and drive corrective actions for delays or deviations. 

Safety & Environmental Control 

? Ensure all civil and structural works comply with HSE requirements and site safety standards. 

? Promote safe construction practices and enforce corrective actions for unsafe conditions. 

Testing & Verification 

? Oversee all field and laboratory testing including soil tests, compaction, and material compliance 

checks. 

? Verify formation levels, structural tolerances, and readiness of works prior to subsequent 

construction stages or handover.
