Commercial Director, North Asia
Location: South Korea / Japan
An international engineering and infrastructure solutions organisation is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive strategic business growth across key North Asian markets. The business supports customers operating within industrial infrastructure, mission-critical environments, advanced manufacturing, energy, and large-scale engineering sectors through specialised technical solutions and lifecycle support services.
This position will lead regional commercial activities across North Asia, with responsibility for market expansion, strategic customer engagement, regional sales performance, and service growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional commercial strategies to support business growth across the region
- Drive revenue generation, profitability, strategic account development, and market expansion initiatives
- Build and manage relationships with industrial customers, EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, and channel partners
- Lead complex, consultative sales engagements across infrastructure, industrial, and technical solution environments
- Collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders across operations, engineering, supply chain, and product functions to ensure successful commercial execution
- Support expansion of service, maintenance, retrofit, and lifecycle support offerings to strengthen long-term customer partnerships and recurring revenue streams
- Oversee forecasting, sales pipeline management, commercial governance, and pricing activities across the region
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional commercial and customer-facing team
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience within industrial, infrastructure, engineering, or technical solutions environments
- Strong track record managing complex B2B solution sales across North Asia
- Experience working with industrial customers, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and regional partner networks
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing growth, margins, and regional business performance
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems, forecasting processes, and structured commercial management practices
- Willingness to travel regularly
