Job Description:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer II in the nuclear industry, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for nuclear power plants. You will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of nuclear power plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for nuclear power plants
- Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for manufacturing and construction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Conduct testing and analysis to validate design performance
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in nuclear engineering
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the nuclear industry
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and standards
