Hydrographic Surveyor – Poland (Leba/Gdansk)

Location: Leba or Gdansk, Poland (office-based with occasional offshore visits)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day
Rate: Competitive daily rate – please submit your best market rate
About the Role
Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Hydrographic Surveyor to join a dynamic Geoscience Construction Management team. In this role, you will oversee hydrographic survey operations, analyze geospatial data, and collaborate closely with installation managers to ensure the successful delivery of offshore construction projects.
You will play a key role in:
Providing hydrographic survey expertise in line with Polish legislative requirements
Reviewing and accepting survey procedures, as-built datasets, and contractor progress data
Managing and distributing data acquired by internal survey support services, including bathymetric and sub-bottom surveys
Providing expertise on ground conditions for installation works
Reviewing project documentation, method statements, and reports related to subsea installation and positioning
Managing QA/QC of pre-, during, and post-installation surveys
Collaborating across installation packages throughout construction phases
Supporting risk management, including residual UXO risk
Delivering transfer reports from construction into operations and maintenance phases
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Polish Hydrographic Cat A surveyor’s license
Proven experience in hydrographic surveys and offshore construction projects
Strong, proactive, and systematic approach to work, with the ability to interface with design, engineering, and installation teams
Ability to thrive in an international environment and build strong stakeholder relationships
Bilingual proficiency in Polish and English
GWO basic offshore certificates
