Job Description: Civil Project Manager (On-site, Philippines)
Location: On-site, Philippines
Work Schedule: 5.5 days work week (Monday to Saturday, half-day Saturday)
Language Requirement: Chinese language skill essential
Experience: 15–20 years in civil engineering (required); experience in underground works or civil pumped storage projects (ideal)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of civil works for the project on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors, and site personnel for civil construction activities.
- Oversee progress, resolve technical and site issues, and ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Interface with Chinese-speaking partners, suppliers, or teams to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
- Prepare, review, and update project schedules, documentation, and reports.
- Provide strong leadership for HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) practices on site.
- Manage site logistics, resources, and materials for civil engineering works.
- Support value engineering and problem-solving for project challenges, particularly regarding underground construction or pumped storage civil works.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 15–20 years of civil engineering experience, with at least several years spent in a project management or senior site leadership role.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin); English and/or Filipino are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in civil works for infrastructure, ideally with a background in underground construction or pumped storage projects
- Strong knowledge of relevant Philippine construction standards and regulations.
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and complex works on site.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Previous exposure to large-scale civil engineering projects in the energy, utility, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working for multinational project teams or contractors, especially those involving cross-cultural communication in Chinese.
