Overview:
The Hydroelectric Technical Advisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of hydroelectric facilities while providing on-site technical expertise. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable performance of hydroelectric systems, while supporting installation, maintenance, and optimization of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations across hydroelectric sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of hydroelectric equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational or technical issues to maintain system reliability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, improve processes, and implement operational improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage budgets, resources, and scheduling to support project and site objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, maintenance, and equipment status.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydroelectric operations, maintenance, or field technical support.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining hydroelectric equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and best practices in hydroelectric operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments.
