Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support one of our global OEM clients on a large-scale E house integrated project in China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee & coordinate on-site activities during construction of the electrical substation. Supervise subcontractors, construction teams, and other personnel.
- Implement safety protocols & safety meetings, complying with HSE regulations.
- Develop and maintain a detailed construction schedule to ensure project is on track.
- Coordinate delivery of materials, equipment, and labor according to project timeline.
- Monitor progress and resolve any delays or issues
- Report any schedule deviations or risks to senior project management.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that construction is carried out according to approved drawings and standards.
- Manage and approve the use and allocation of resources to ensure optimal productivity while meeting budget requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact between the client, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Provide updates to senior management regarding project progress, risks, challenges.
- Facilitate communication between all parties to resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor construction budget, ensure project is completed within financial constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities (work progress, inspections & materials).
Desired Characteristics:
- At least 10 years of experience in onshore and offshore works with experience in E-house construction.
- Prior experience in site management
- Strong communication and ability to coordinate with various stakeholders and take charge of all site activities
- Prior experience working on projects in China is preferable
- Open to individuals based outside of China but must be willing to relocate for the duration of this role
Contract Details:
- Duration: 1 year (with possible extensions)
- Location: China (exact location TBC, 30-45mins flight from Beijing)
- Working Schedule: Mon - Sat
