Job Opportunity: Mechanical Integrity Structural Engineer
Project Overview:
We are seeking four (4) qualified candidates to manage non-rotating asset strategies for our sites. The roles involve non-capital mechanical integrity and structural remediation designs where required. The primary focus will be on our structural Risk-Based Inspection program.
Scope of Services:
- Oversee non-rotating asset strategies including fit-for-service evaluations and necessary repairs.
- Ensure all assets are safe to operate and maintain thorough documentation of repairs and inspections.
- Manage the Risk-Based Inspection program, analyze inspection reports, address non-conformance issues, and communicate asset health to site leadership.
- Support site maintenance in managing the backlog and collaborate with engineering teams to develop corrective action plans.
- Maintain the site's Asset Health Register and create intake requests as needed.
- Provide recommendations on metallurgy and coatings-related queries.
- Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement initiatives, training, and safety improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural is preferred. Other degrees such as Mining Engineering, Engineering Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with field project management experience are also considered.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in API, CWB, CINDE, and NACE CIP.
- Project management and supervision experience.
Contract Details:
Immediate hire for a one-year contract with potential to renew. Positions involve potential travel between sites.
Locations:
- 1 position near New Wales, FL
- 1 position in Riverview, FL
- 1 position near Bartow, FL
- 1 central position to support all FL sites
Compensation:
Proposed hourly rate range: $100-$140/hr based on a 50-hour work week. No separate overtime rate. Please provide a proposed hourly rate with your application.
