Process Engineering & Design
Lead the development of process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat & mass balances, data sheets, control philosophies, and simulations.
Ensure designs comply with technology requirements, process safety, environmental regulations, and business objectives.
Partner with R&D, EPCs, vendors, and operations teams to deliver robust, scalable designs.
Project Execution & Delivery
Act as the technical authority through FEED, detailed design, procurement, and construction phases.
Support commissioning and start-up activities, including operational readiness and SOP development.
Contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and constructability reviews, ensuring process safety and operability.
Represent engineering in internal cross-functional forums and with external stakeholders.
Scale-Up & Technology Transfer
Lead efforts in process optimisation, debottlenecking, and yield improvement.
Support the successful transition of technology from pilot/demo facilities to commercial-scale plants.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide mentorship and technical direction to engineers and cross-functional teams.
Coordinate with feedstock, utilities, operations, and sustainability teams for full process integration.
Engage with licensors, regulators, and certification bodies (e.g. ASTM D7566 for SAF approvals).
B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience in renewable fuels, refining, or advanced process industries.
5+ years in a senior/lead process engineer or team leadership role.
Proven track record in technology scale-up, FOAK/pilot or demo operations, and project execution.
Strong knowledge of reforming, Fischer-Tropsch, and upgrading technologies.
Experience with process safety practices (HAZOP, FMEA) and project management.
Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with process control systems (PLC/DCS) and field instrumentation preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 25% (site visits, commissioning, stakeholder engagement).
Desirable
Experience with SAF pathways (HEFA, FT-SPK, ATJ), renewable fuels, or bio-based chemicals.
Understanding of Singapore’s industrial and environmental regulatory frameworks (NEA, SCDF, JTC).
