Position: Site Scheduler / Field Planner (ME&I Focus)

Location: Nederland, TX

Duration: 12-18 months (current project completion est. for September 2026)

 

Key Responsibilities

• In this role, you will manage all site-level planning and progress tracking activities, with a primary focus on Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (ME&I) works

• Additionally, you will monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress; identify schedule deviations and delays, and recommend corrective actions

• You will also apply Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify, monitor, and control critical activities impacting project delivery

• In this role, you will also implement Earned Value Management (EVM) to track project performance against cost and schedule baselines

• Defining and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate subcontractor performance and overall site productivity is part of your role

• You will coordinate closely with ME&I construction teams, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution

• Further, you will review and validate subcontractor schedules; ensure alignment with the master schedule and contractual milestones

• You will also track material deliveries, mobilizations, and critical site activities, ensuring timely readiness for commissioning

• Support and monitor commissioning planning, including pre-commissioning, system handover, and punch list closure

• You will create clear and visually effective reports, charts, and dashboards to present schedule and progress data, preferably using Power BI

• Further, you will maintain accurate as-built records and ensure timely updates to Primavera P6 (or equivalent scheduling tool)

• Also, you will prepare and deliver data-driven progress reports and visual dashboards to the Project Manager and stakeholders

• Collaborating and coordinating effectively with international, multi-disciplinary teams operating across different time zones, ensuring smooth communication and schedule integration is part of your role

Minimum Requirements

• You have at least 8–12 years of site-based planning experience, with a strong background in ME&I works and exposure to commissioning processes in industrial plant or large-scale construction projects

• You also have the following Technical Skills: Advanced user of Primavera P6; strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, EVM principles, KPI tracking, and schedule deviation analysis

• Visualization Tools: You have proficiency in creating graphics, charts, and visual dashboards; Power BI experience preferred

• You are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); and show familiarity with data visualization techniques and reporting best practices

• Additionally, you have excellent written and verbal English, with strong reporting and presentation skills

• You have the ability to interpret complex schedule and cost data to support decision-making

• You show ability to work collaboratively with international teams across different time zones and manage effective communication channels

• Further, you demonstrate flexibility: Willingness to adapt to site conditions, including overtime when needed

• Preferred: you have experience in subcontractor performance verification, progress auditing, delivery tracking, and commissioning support
