This Business Development Manager role in Makati, Manila for a Renewable Energy company is focused on overseeing new business development initiatives and managing deals throughout the project life cycle.
Job Description:
- Project Management: Oversee the project management of new business development initiatives for the company.
- Partnership Development: Lead discussions with potential business partners, ensuring smooth management of the project from early stages through to completion.
- Due Diligence: Conduct and oversee due diligence, collaborating with legal, commercial, and financial departments to address all issues related to the project.
- Deal Management: Manage the overall project deal structure, responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, term sheets, long-form agreements, and conducting investment analysis and presentations.
- Coordination: Coordinate with both internal teams and external groups to ensure the successful execution of transactions.
- Operational Oversight: Perform various operational functions for project companies on an ad hoc basis.
Qualifications:
- Min 8 years of work experience in business development, M&A deal management, or a similar role.
- Expertise in advanced financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and experience in mergers & acquisitions, project finance, and drafting/reviewing shareholder agreements, term sheets, and commercial contracts.
- Familiarity with capital structuring, including taxation and cash flow distribution optimization.
- Knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) is a plus.
- Experience in the energy sector, holding companies, investment banking, private equity, or financial advisory services with a focus on M&A and investments.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with experience working with external parties.
