Maintenance Scheduler/Planner
Location: Fieldsboro, New Jersey
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day
Pay Rate: $60 - $75/hr
Job Overview:
The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner is responsible for efficiently managing the resources within the Maintenance Department to optimize process reliability. This includes planning, scheduling, and assigning work orders for equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement. The role ensures the integration of maintenance activities with production and supports other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Resource and Work Order Management (30%):
- Oversee maintenance resources to ensure reliable operations.
- Use the work order system to review, sort, plan, and assign tasks to mechanics for preventive maintenance (PM), repairs, and equipment replacement.
- Coordinate maintenance efforts with the Production team and prepare required work permits.
- Serve as a backup to the Maintenance Manager as needed.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting (25%):
- Provide technical assistance for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Establish and manage a sustainable preventive maintenance (PM) program.
- Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.

Administrative and Inventory Duties (20%):
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing invoices, resolving invoicing issues, and generating requisitions.
- Order necessary parts and maintain inventory for critical equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation of spare parts usage on work orders by reinforcing mechanics to track usage.

Scheduling and Compliance (10%):
- Schedule preventive maintenance work related to ISO, PSM, and EHS equipment.
- Maintain accurate records for ISO, PSM, and EHS equipment and files.
- Perform assigned ISO duties and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Budget Management (10%):
- Oversee and manage the maintenance department's budget.

Miscellaneous Duties (5%):
- Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a chemical or oil & gas facility.
- At least 5 years of experience as a planner or scheduler.
- Maintenance experience is preferred over experience in capital projects.
