Project Procurement Manager SEA (Renewable Energy)

A leading global organisation within the renewable energy sector is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to support large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across the Asia Pacific region. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on driving procurement excellence across complex projects, with a particular emphasis on heavy lifting (cranage) and installation services. You will play a key role in optimising cost, managing risk, and ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for cranage and installation services across the region
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure cost-effective and competitive procurement outcomes
- Own and manage project budgets related to heavy lifting and installation scopes, ensuring accuracy and cost control
- Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement risks while driving value optimisation opportunities
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Logistics, Engineering, and Project Management
- Support bid and tender processes by providing procurement insights and cost strategies
- Drive alignment between procurement strategy and overall project delivery objectives
- Ensure a structured and seamless handover to Project Execution teams post-award
- Maintain strong supplier relationships across regional markets to support long-term delivery capability
- Continuously improve procurement processes and challenge existing approaches to drive efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain within energy, infrastructure, or heavy industry
- Strong experience in wind energy, heavy lifting (cranage), logistics, or installation services
- Familiarity with large-scale project environments and complex procurement cycles
- Experience supporting multi-country operations across the Asia Pacific region
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and supplier negotiations
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint)
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional and matrixed environment
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
