Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience in the nuclear industry to join our team in York, United States. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for nuclear power plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for nuclear power plants
- Perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the nuclear industry
- Strong knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and components
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
