Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Manager to oversee the operations of our data centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the data centre, managing a team of technicians, and implementing best practices to ensure the security and reliability of our data centre operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the data centre
- Lead a team of technicians and provide guidance and support
- Implement and maintain data centre policies and procedures
- Ensure the security and reliability of data centre operations
- Monitor and report on data centre performance and efficiency
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the data centre
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data centre management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of data centre operations and best practices
- Experience with data centre security and compliance standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CDCP, CDCS) would be an advantage
