A leading international energy transition platform is seeking an experienced commercial executive to lead the structuring, negotiation and governance of complex infrastructure and energy transactions across the Asia-Pacific region.
This is a high-impact regional leadership role responsible for guiding major opportunities from early-stage qualification through commercial negotiation, contract execution and transition into project delivery. Working closely with executive leadership, technical teams, finance, legal and project stakeholders, you will play a critical role in driving growth, protecting profitability and ensuring successful execution across a portfolio of strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership
- Lead the commercial strategy and execution of major energy and infrastructure opportunities across APAC
- Oversee the full transaction lifecycle from opportunity assessment through bid strategy, negotiation, contract execution and handover
- Drive commercial governance, margin optimisation, risk management and cash performance across a portfolio of projects - Strategic Deal Structuring
- Develop and implement commercial frameworks that maximise value while maintaining project bankability and execution certainty
- Structure complex commercial arrangements covering pricing, payment mechanisms, risk allocation, warranties, guarantees and long-term service considerations
- Support business growth through innovative commercial solutions and strategic positioning - Portfolio Strategy & Prioritisation
- Partner with regional leadership to evaluate and prioritise opportunities across multiple markets
- Balance growth objectives with profitability, capital efficiency and risk management considerations
- Support long-term market expansion through disciplined commercial decision-making - Tendering & Contract Negotiation
- Lead commercial review of major tenders, RFPs and customer procurement processes
- Establish negotiation strategies, governance frameworks and approval pathways
- Negotiate commercial agreements with customers, investors, consortium partners, lenders and advisors - Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across commercial, engineering, finance, legal, supply chain and project delivery functions
- Align stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures to ensure successful transaction outcomes
- Drive executive-level engagement with internal and external stakeholders - Commercial Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure successful transition from contract award into project execution
- Establish robust risk management and margin protection frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes, governance standards and negotiation strategies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law or a related discipline
- MBA or advanced qualification preferred
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience within energy, infrastructure, industrial or technology sectors
- Demonstrated experience leading complex transactions valued in excess of USD 100 million
- Strong commercial and financial acumen across pricing strategy, risk allocation, margin management, cash flow optimisation and project bankability
- Proven experience negotiating large-scale commercial and contractual arrangements
- Ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite leadership, investors and strategic partners
- Experience leading cross-functional and cross-cultural teams across APAC
- Strong analytical and strategic decision-making capabilities within fast-paced and high-pressure environments
- Fluent English communication skills required; additional Asian language capabilities advantageous
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
